Key Responsibilities

Backend and Web-App Ownership:

• Take ownership and responsibility for the Realitiq Connect Platform, encompassing both the backend and web frontend
• Maintain, enhance, and ensure the scalability of the existing system while adding new features
• Enjoy significant design freedom in shaping the platform’s architecture and technical direction

API Coordination & Development:

• Collaborate closely with the teams of other frontend components (Mobile App and 3D-Editor) to ensure API endpoints are well-defined, efficient, and meet client requirements
• Design, implement, and maintain REST APIs that enable seamless communication between components. 

Frontend Development & Feature Implementation:

• Maintain and expand a React-based frontend, while integrating new features based on user stories and Figma designs
• Ensure frontend and backend alignment, maintaining API compatibility and implementing necessary adaptations as requirements evolve

Third-Party API Integration

• Implement API wrappers for external services, handling authentication, rate limits, and error handling. 
• Integrate external APIs supporting AI functionalities, such as image generation and recognition. 
• Manage access to external services like PriceHubble and Shadowmap, ensuring secure and efficient API interactions. 

UI Development & Integration

• Build and maintain reusable UI components (e.g., charts, forms, tables) using Shadcn/UI and similar libraries. 
• Integrate and customize external components such as interactive maps and data visualization tools. 

Required Skills & Technologies

Frontend Skills:

Must-Haves:

• React – Expertise in backend engineering for multiple components. 
• TypeScript – Strong knowledge of type-safe development. 
• Tailwind CSS – Proficiency in styling with Tailwind for maintainable, responsive UI design. 

Nice-to-Haves:

• TanStack Libraries: 
  • TanStack Router – Experience with type-safe client-side routing
  • TanStack Query – Knowledge of advanced data-fetching and caching strategies
  • TanStack Table – Ability to build complex table structures with pagination, sorting, and filtering

Backend Skills:

Must-Haves:

• Node.js – Strong expertise in backend development using Node.js and related frameworks
• REST API Design – Ability to design efficient, scalable, and well-documented APIs via Elysia (like tRPC)
• SQL – Experience in relational database design, query optimization, and indexing strategies. 

Niche-to-Haves:

• Cloudflare Wrangler – Experience working with Cloudflare’s developer tools
• ORM (Drizzle) – Familiarity with Drizzle ORM for database management
• Serverless Architectures – Experience with Cloudflare Workers, AWS Lambda, or similar serverless solutions
• GitHub Actions – Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for automation and deployment

Soft Skills & Additional Requirements

• Collaboration – Ability to work effectively with product and frontend teams to align API and architectural decisions
• Problem-Solving – Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly when facing API compatibility issues, performance bottlenecks, or evolving requirements
• Attention to Detail – Capable of implementing designs based on Figma mockups while ensuring a seamless user experience
• Communication Skills – Comfortable working in English (and optionally German), both in documentation and team discussions

The actual salary will be agreed depending on professional experience and qualifications. The minimum salary for this position is € 50,000 (full-time), depending on qualifications and training.
